Minister for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Arzybek Kozhoshev took part in the World Congress 2024, organized by the International Road Federation (IRF) in Istanbul. The press service of the EEC reported.
The main topic of the Congress was the expansion of mobility and sustainable development of transport systems.
Speaking to the participants, Arzybek Kozhoshev told about the key integration achievements in the field of transport in the Eurasian space. He emphasized the importance of introducing digital solutions in transport activities and exchanging experience to stimulate the development of the road industry.
«In the context of fundamental changes and transformation of transport corridors, ‘seamless’ transportation and creation of a sustainable transport and logistics framework for Greater Eurasia are of particular importance,» the Minister for Energy and Infrastructure noted.
As part of the forum, he had a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey Abdulkadir Uraloglu. They discussed issues of interaction to eliminate barriers on the transport routes and maintain a high level of competence in the field of infrastructure.
The parties expressed their willingness to develop cooperation in areas of mutual interest and emphasized the importance of industry dialogue.
The International Road Federation (IRF) was founded in 1948 to promote the development of national road networks and hold regular congresses to discuss key issues in the transport industry.
