Another group of Kyrgyzstanis sent to work in Korea

The Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad under the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration of Kyrgyzstan sent a group of 39 citizens to the Republic of Korea under the Employment Permit System (EPS).

According to the press service of the ministry, the center conducted a five-day pre-departure training for applicants, who received a contract, with an emphasis on the Korean language and its practical application in the work environment.

The program includes promoting intercultural understanding, cooperation through studying the culture and history of the Republic of Korea, social norms, improving the level of knowledge of the Korean language, traditions, which helps to better integrate into Korean society and successfully interact with colleagues and the management of the host country.

Within the framework of the program, the Center for Employment of Citizens Abroad has been successfully employing Kyrgyzstanis at enterprises in the Republic of Korea for 17 years. More than 5,000 citizens have been successfully employed under the memorandum.

Currently, more than 1,500 citizens are working in Korea under the EPS program. Of the total number, the majority are employed in the food, chemical, paper industries, in factories producing plastic, rubber and glass products.

The average salary is $1,800, while accommodation and meals (partially or fully) are paid by employers.

The main requirement of the EPS program is an appropriate level of proficiency in the Korean language.
