Sadyr Japarov meets with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat. The press service of the head of state reported.

During the conversation, the parties discussed deepening cooperation in the trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The main attention was paid to the implementation of joint projects in the field of trade, energy, transport and logistics. President Japarov emphasized the importance of intensifying cooperation in the energy sector and developing transport corridors to improve regional integration and increase trade between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for Sadyr Japarov’s participation in the international forum, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet Makhtumkuli Fragi, noting the importance of further development of bilateral relations.

At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov presented Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with a book of selected works by Makhtumkuli Fragi in the Kyrgyz language.
