Bishkek and Cheongju City Halls sign Memorandum of Understanding

The Bishkek and Cheongju City Halls (Republic of Korea) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The press service of the Bishkek City Hall reported.

The purpose of the memorandum is to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship between residents of Bishkek and Cheongju, support and develop the exchange of knowledge, experience and best practices in urban planning, ecology, infrastructure, education and culture, deepening economic cooperation, including joint projects in tourism, trade and investment.

Deputy Mayor Azamat Kadyrov, who signed the memorandum, warmly welcomed the delegation of the Cheongju municipality and emphasized the importance of developing mutually beneficial cooperation. During the meeting, the parties discussed the development of bilateral intercity relations through the signing of the bilateral document.

Azamat Kadyrov noted that the Bishkek City Hall is open to cooperation with the Korean side in the implementation and further joint projects on social, cultural and humanitarian development, as well as the exchange of experience in urban development, transport, housing and communal services and other areas of urban life.

Deputy Mayor of Cheongju Shin Byung-dae thanked for the warm welcome and hospitality, emphasizing that the signed memorandum will help cooperation in tourism, transport and business.

Cheongju is a city in South Korea, the administrative center of Chungcheongbuk-do Province. Its population is 850,000 people.
