Kokpar team of Kazakhstan will not be able to take part in the rematch with the team of Kyrgyzstan. Informburo.kz reported, citing the country’s federation.
«The Federation will not be able to participate in the Concord Cup on the shores of Issyk-Kul lake, as other important competitions are scheduled for the indicated dates. Kokpar players are currently preparing for these games,» the organization noted.
Recall, a scuffle occurred in the final of kokpar (zher ulak) tournament at the World Nomad Games in Astana (Kazakhstan), the match was suspended. At the 13th minute of the first half, the Kyrgyzstanis made the score 3:1 in their favor. A player from Kazakhstan, Ulan Baitoreyev, hit a player from the Kyrgyz Republic team, Kubanychbek Sultan uulu, with a whip. A scuffle broke out after that.
At a press conference in Bishkek, the Kok Boru Federation of Kyrgyzstan offered Kazakhstani athletes to hold a Concord Cup on November 1 on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake.
