The Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan will reconstruct Tash-Rabat caravanserai. The Culture Minister Altynbek Maksutov announced at a meeting of the Parliament.
According to him, the historical site will be transferred to the balance sheet of the ministry.
«After that, we will expand the territory and restore it. This year we considered the issue of financing, next year we will begin reconstruction,» the minister said.
At the meeting, the deputies considered and adopted the draft law «On the accession of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Protocol to the Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, signed on May 14, 1954 in The Hague» in the first reading.
