Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, as part of a working visit to the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of China, met with Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov in Urumqi. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The parties discussed three promising infrastructure projects included in the agenda of bilateral cooperation and identified by the leaders of the two countries.
At the meeting, negotiations were held on the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 and a hydropower station on Chatkal river.
The Heads of Government of the two states also discussed the project on the construction of Talas — Chatkal — Tashkent highway. A roadmap is currently being developed. Implementation of the project will provide an opportunity to increase mutual trade and increase the tourism potential of the two countries.
The parties stated that the adoption of practical measures on promotion of the aforementioned infrastructure projects will contribute to strengthening fraternal strategic relations between the two states.
