Negotiations on opening a direct flight between Bishkek and Kuala Lumpur are underway in Malaysia. The press service of Manas International Airport OJSC reported.
As noted, the Kyrgyz delegation is scheduled to meet with Malaysian aviation authorities, management of major airlines and representatives of Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic made a presentation on the development of civil aviation in the country, confirmed the provision of the Fifth Freedom of the Air to Malaysian airlines, giving them the opportunity to use Bishkek as a transit point, and told about the tourism potential of the republic.
The Malaysian side confirmed its readiness to encourage its airlines to operate passenger and cargo flights between the capitals of the two countries.
The parties agreed to make the necessary changes to the intergovernmental agreement on air services between Kyrgyzstan and Malaysia.
