The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kyrgyzstan plans to build a DNA laboratory. The Minister of Internal Affairs Ulan Niyazbekov announced during an online meeting on the readiness of internal affairs bodies to ensure law, order and public safety during the New Year holidays and ensuring road safety.
During the meeting, issues of combating organized crime, fighting corruption, preventing domestic violence, crimes involving minors, and preventing road accidents were discussed.
Ulan Niyazbekov noted that modern technologies are widely used in law enforcement activity.
Currently, contracts have been concluded and approvals procedures have been carried out for the implementation of four large projects:
- Construction and launch of a DNA laboratory to modernize forensic methods and tools;
- Creation and introduction of Digital Cloud technology, which provides a wide range of opportunities to improve the efficiency of various branches of the internal affairs department, including improving the quality of on-site investigations;
- As part of Available Police program, it is planned to switch to a new format by strengthening the activities of mobile police reception centers. This will improve the quality of service provided to the population;
- In order to ensure the safety of citizens, a center for combating extremism and terrorism will be created.
