Over the past three years, 60 industrial facilities have been commissioned in Kyrgyzstan with an investment volume of almost $1 billion. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev told reporters.
According to him, enterprises have been opened in such industries as the garment and energy, agricultural processing, production of construction materials and pharmaceuticals.
The minister also named the largest and most significant industrial facilities that started operating in the Kyrgyz Republic:
- Eurasia Metal Group — plant for the production of construction fittings with a capacity of 40,000 tons of products per year at the initial stage and with a possible increase to 150,000 tons per year;
- Metalken — full-cycle metallurgical plant, equipped with first-class metalworking equipment, with an annual production capacity of 300,000 tons of products;
- Kyrgyz Unaa Kurulush — diversified plant that assembles small trucks, produces hydraulic turbines for small hydroelectric power plants, as well as «smart» electricity meters and elevators;
- Global Garment — enterprise for the production of clothing and knitwear;
- Sary-Jazz Mineral Mining Company engaged in the development of tin-tungsten ore in Tash-Koro and Kurgak areas;
- Agro Kush — investments amounted to 200 million soms;
- Kyrgyzelektronika — production of printers that have already been presented at the world exhibition;
- Tokmak tire processing plant;
- Kyrgyz Shampan — a sugar beet processing enterprise in Talas region;
- Zhun Cashmere — a wool processing enterprise;
- Salkyn, Barhat, Kyrgyz textile — clothing production;
- Agroken — a milk processing enterprise;
- Baikhan and Enesai — production of bottled drinking water.
