A teacher with 40 years of experience is fired because of a student. Delegate Maksatbek Ozbekov announced this at the second People’s Kurultai in Kyrgyzstan.
He demanded to protect the rights of teachers.
«Today, teachers with many years of experience are fired because of a small student. And then they show it all to the public and belittle the teacher’s honor and dignity. It is necessary to ensure the protection of the rights of teachers,» Maksatbek Ozbekov said.
Another delegate Nurzhamal Romanova spoke about problems in the education system and also called for protecting the rights of teachers.
«I have 15 years of experience in the field of education. There are many problems. One of them is the law on certification of teachers. I’d like to see it reviewed. It turns out that if the teacher did not pass certification the first time, then the second time he or she must pay for it. This law is written only for teachers. Also, if 80 questions are asked in the personnel reserve sphere, then 100 questions are given for a simple teacher. Our rights are being violated,» she said.
