44 more Kyrgyzstanis leave to work in South Korea

At least 44 more Kyrgyzstanis were sent to work through the Ministry of Labor in South Korea. The press service of the ministry reported.

Minister of Labor, Social Security and Migration Gulnara Baatyrova saw off the Kyrgyzstanis and noted that legal employment is carried out within the framework of the decree of President Sadyr Japarov «On taking measures aimed at improving the migration situation.»

According to her, over the course of 15 years, the ministry has employed over 5,000 Kyrgyzstanis at Korean enterprises. Currently, about 2,000 citizens work in this country under the EPS program. Most of them work at enterprises in the food and paper industries.

The average salary is $2,000, with accommodation and meals (full or partial) paid for by the employer.

The main requirement of the program is knowledge of the Korean language at the proper level. Over ten months, more than 3,470 citizens participated in the Korean language test, 882 people successfully passed it.
