The total income of organizations of the financial sector of the economy for the first nine months of 2023 amounted to more than 91 billion soms. The National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reported.
Compared to the corresponding period of 2022, it increased by more than 22 percent, or by 16.7 billion soms. This is mainly due to the growth of income of the banking sector. Expenses of financial sector organizations in the same period amounted to 58.5 billion soms, having increased by 29 percent.
The client base of the financial sector organizations at the end of September this year exceeded 11 million, having increased by more than 4 million over the year. Its expansion was mainly due to the growth in the number of bank customers who have connected to the mobile banking system, as well as the number of concluded contracts in the insurance sector.
According to the results of January — September 2023, the enterprises of the financial sector of the economy received about 33 billion soms of profit, which is 3.6 billion more than last year.
