Political corruption, which flourished in the country for 30 years, has been dismantled. The head of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, announced at a meeting of the Parliament.
Deputies discussed the republican budget.
According to the official, in an interview, President Sadyr Japarov said that corruption has been eradicated by 90 percent that is why the budget is growing.
«The main proof of the dismantling of political corruption is Kumtor. It was returned to the people. In addition, trials in five arbitration and six international courts have been completed. Cases on Megacom, Bitel, and Manas Bank have been won. Where there is political corruption, there are always organized crime groups. Cleansing of these harmful elements at all stages is carried out. To put the economy in order, the head of state appointed me, and entrusted the power block to Kamchybek Tashiev. The merciless fight against organized crime groups is the fight against tax evaders and those protecting businesses. We are cleaning out the ranks of civil servants who are involved in organized crime groups,» Akylbek Japarov said.
He also touched upon changes in the global economy.
«Despite changes in the world, such as sanctions, inflation, Kyrgyzstan continues to develop, improving partnerships with other countries. Despite various macroeconomic forecasts, our republic shows sustainable development. Over 10 years, GDP grew by only 419.3 billion soms, over the past two years — by 439.3 billion. We plan to increase GDP to 1 trillion soms. This is a historical moment. Despite inflation, the real part of wages is growing. We are strengthening state-owned banks, increasing their authorized capital, which exceeded $100 million,» the head of the Cabinet added.
