Employees of the Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region detained the deputy head of Orok village district for extortion of funds for legalization of land plots. The department reported.
«Employees of the Central Internal Affairs Department of Chui region detected a corruption scheme for the systematic extortion of funds from residents of Selektsionnoye village in order to legitimize their land plots,» they noted.
A criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime under Article 243 (Extortion) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The fact of extortion by officials of Orok rural district, namely the deputy head O.N., 30, was confirmed.
«Being in collusion with other persons, he established a sustainable scheme for extortion and collection of money, demanding 300,000 soms from citizens for a positive solution to their issue,» the department said.
The man was caught red-handed on December 15 while transferring part of the funds to him — 71,000 soms. Incriminating documents related to the criminal scheme were also found and confiscated from him.
