CSTO exercises will be held next year with a focus on the Central Asian region. Anatoly Sidorov, chief of the joint headquarters of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), said at a briefing.
According to him, preparation activities will be held in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Tajikistan.
«The exercise plan for 2024 is focused on the Central Asian region of collective security. In particular, in Kyrgyzstan we are planning exercises with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces, in Kazakhstan — with peacekeeping forces, as well as with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the region in Tajikistan,» Anatoly Sidorov said.
He added that it is too early to talk about the timing and training grounds for the exercises; consultations will take place, which will begin in December this year.
