President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the law on assigning the geographical name «Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan» to the unnamed glacier No. 354. The press service of the head of state reported.
The law was adopted by the Parliament on October 5, 2023.
The glacier is located on the northwestern slope of Ak-Shyirak ridge, in Bordu river basin of Jeti-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan is the founder of the United Arab Emirates.
Earlier, Sadyr Japarov also stated that one of the schools in the country would be named after the late sheikh.
