The director of American School, accused of torturing his common-law wife, was released. The criminal case has been dismissed. The press service of Oktyabrsky Department of Internal Affairs of Bishkek reported.
Erlan Usubakunov was released from custody. The proceedings were terminated due to reconciliation of the parties.
Earlier it was reported that a man abused his common-law wife in Bishkek. The woman lived with him for five years, and all this time he beat her.
«The couple has a daughter, whom the man tried to take away from her mother. Using connections and money, he is trying to evade responsibility,» the statement said.
«On September 15, citizen D.M. filed a statement to the police. She asked to take action against her common-law husband, who raped and then beat the woman on September 14. A criminal case was initiated under the article «Rape» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. 38-year-old man was detained. By decision of the Oktyabrsky District Court, he was taken into custody for two months,» the department previously reported.
