Meetings of the Heads of Government of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will be held in Bishkek next week.
The Council of Heads of Government of the SCO will take place on October 25-26, the meetings of the Prime Ministers of the CIS and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will take place on October 26-27.
This means that roads in the capital will be closed for passage of official delegations on these days.
The SCO includes eight member states in different statuses — India, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Four more countries have the status of observer states — Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia.
The CIS includes Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
The EAEU includes Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia. In addition, Moldova, Uzbekistan and Cuba have observer status in the organization.
