A regular meeting was held in the Cabinet of Ministers under the chairmanship of Akylbek Japarov.
The draft law on the republican budget of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2024 and the planning period 2025-2026 was considered. Information from the Ministry of Finance was heard.
The head of the Cabinet of Ministers said that according to the plan, the resources of the consolidated budget next year will amount to about 600.7 billion soms.
According to him, if this year revenues amount to 45 billion soms per month, then in 2024 this figure should be at least 50 billion. He added that the responsibility of ministers is doubled, because «radical decisions must be made quickly.»
According to the official, the gross domestic product of the republic is projected «next year in the amount of 1,464 trillion soms.»
He added that «the state budget surplus in 2024 is planned at 20 billion soms.»
«We forecast a budget surplus in the medium term. The main reasons for such a surplus for the medium term are an increase in the budget’s own revenues, as well as a decrease in the tendency of attraction of external revenues within the framework of budget support. The draft republican budget for next year does not contain amounts on loans and grants provided as part of budget support. Thus, we will rely on our own sources,» Akylbek Japarov said.
