Bishkek received a grant from the Chinese city of Qingdao to improve the western entrance to Bishkek on Deng Xiaoping Avenue. It was announced at a meeting of the Mayor of the capital Emilbek Abdykadyrov with a delegation of the city headed by a member of the Standing Committee of Qingdao Municipal Committee Zhang Xinzhu.
It is reported that the City Hall received 600,000 yuan for the project. This is $81,800.
The mayor noted the interest in developing fruitful mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in the implementation and further joint projects on social and cultural and humanitarian development, as well as the exchange of experience in urban planning, transportation, housing and communal services and other areas of urban life. He expressed hope for the successful implementation of the landscaping project in the exchange of experience in the field of improvement of green areas in the city.
