Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Kanybek Imanaliev held a meeting on preparations for PISA International Student Assessment. Press service of the ministry reported.
Kanybek Imanaliev proposed to conduct trial testing of eighth graders after the first term, in March and at the end of the school year.
The participants of the meeting noted the lack of awareness of teachers about PISA. The minister drew attention to the need for accurate translation of testing questions into the Kyrgyz language.
Kanybek Imanaliev instructed to conduct training workshops in the near future with the heads of departments of education in cities and regions, as well as with school principals, teachers on trial tests.
Recall, knowledge and skills of 15-year-old students will be assessed in Kyrgyzstan in 2025.
