Functioning of Kara-Bagysh — Avtodorozhny and Bek-Abad — Avtodorozhny checkpoints, located on the Kyrgyz-Uzbek section of the state border, has been resumed. The Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.
Kara-Bagysh — Avtodorozhny checkpoint is located in Aravan district of Osh region. It has the status of a bilateral checkpoint, it can only be crossed by citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and only on foot without a car, as well as without cargo, goods and animals, with the exception of personal items.
Bek-Abad — Avtodorozhny checkpoint is located in Suzak district of Jalal-Abad region and is multilateral. It can be crossed by citizens of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and third countries, as well as cars, regardless of their state affiliation, without moving cargo, goods and animals, with the exception of personal items.
The Border Service recalls that these checkpoints resumed operation after the agreements reached between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
