The President Sadyr Japarov signed the law of the Kyrgyz Republic on education, adopted in a new version.
The document was adopted in order to reform the institute of education to improve the quality of educational services provided to the population and increase their availability, strengthen continuity in education, as well as develop a personality that meets modern challenges and is competitive in the labor market.
The new law introduces the institute of certification and validation of professional competencies, skills of citizens acquired in the process of non-formal education or independent practice.
The document spells out regulation of the issues of assigning a special status to higher educational institutions and their activities; regulation of the activities of online educational organizations; introduction of a voucher mechanism for financing educational services of educational organizations.
The law also exempts educational organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, that implement programs of preschool and additional education from obtaining a license, with the exception of the activities of driving schools, as well as additional education associated with the risk of harm to life and health of people, the list of which is approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
