The number of personal assistants for people with disabilities has increased in Kyrgyzstan. Press service of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration reported.
At the end of six months of the year, their number amounted to 13,657 people. They provide services to 13,373 adults and children with disabilities. Monthly payment to personal assistants is 6,268 soms.
«There were 8,366 personal assistants for the same period last year. They provided services to 8,493 adults and children with disabilities,» the ministry said.
It noted that from June 1, 2022, not only children, but also adults with disability from childhood of group 1, who need constant extraneous care and supervision, can receive the services of a personal assistant.
