President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, during a working trip to Talas region, got acquainted with the project on modernization of Talas airport. Press service of the head of state reported.
The total area of the airport is about 78 hectares. The design and estimate documentation for the construction of a new terminal building has been completed. It will be designed to serve passengers with a capacity of 100 people per hour. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of the year.
The new terminal will have modern security and control systems to ensure the safety of passengers.
At present, work has been completed on the dismantling of damaged sections of the old pavement of the runway and asphalt concrete work has begun.
«Implementation of the airport modernization project will stimulate the development of tourism. Kyrgyzstan has many attractions. Therefore, it is important to show Kyrgyz hospitality at the highest level, and, as you know, it begins with airports. Comprehensive development of international airports is one of the priorities of the state. We intend to resume domestic flights across the country,» the president said.
Sadyr Japarov instructed to step up work on the modernization of the airport, mobilize available resources to complete construction work on time.
