The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Japarov, as part of a working trip to the city of Sochi to participate in meetings of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS and the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, met with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin.
The parties exchanged views on expanding Kyrgyz-Russian cooperation in trade, economic, investment, agricultural, industrial, transport and logistics, as well as cultural and humanitarian spheres.
In addition, the heads of government discussed practical implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation.
The parties paid special attention to the upcoming events of interregional cooperation planned to be held on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, as well as the implementation of joint projects on industrial cooperation.
Noting the importance of cooperation in the educational sphere, Akylbek Japarov informed his colleague that the intergovernmental agreement on the construction of nine schools in the Kyrgyz Republic had passed all three readings in the Parliament and was being prepared for signing by the president.
He also proposed to start practical study of the issue of creation of branches of the Mikhail Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Higher School of Economics in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the Kyrgyz-Russian Institute of Agrarian Technologies and Biomedicine named after K.I. Skryabin on the basis of the Kyrgyz National Agrarian University named after K.I. Skryabin.
Mikhail Mishustin conveyed greetings and warm wishes on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.
«The task of our governments is to ensure implementation of the agreements reached by our leaders during the official visit of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Russian Federation on May 7-9 this year. In January — April, the volume of mutual trade increased by 16 percent and amounted to almost 85 billion rubles, or more than 92 billion soms. We will continue raising this level,» Mikhail Mishustin said.
