Rector of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) Vladimir Nifadyev was dismissed. The university will have a new head from June 5. 24.kg news agency received information who will take the position of the rector.
The dean of the Natural-Technical Faculty of the KRSU, Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor German Lotsev will be appointed to the vacant post.
It also became known that contracts with university employees who hold senior positions being at retirement age will not be extended from the new academic year.
The head of the Department of International Journalism, Alexander Katsev, said that he was also fired.
