President Sadyr Japarov, as part of his state visit to China, visited bus manufacturing factory of Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., LTD. Press service of the head of state reported.
A batch of 120 buses from this plant was previously purchased for Bishkek. They were successfully tested on the roads of the capital, so it was decided to buy an additional batch of 1,000 buses at the expense of budgetary funds.
«The ceremonial release and presentation of the first bus from the batch for Kyrgyzstan took place there,» the press service noted.
It is expected that the first batch of 500 units will be phased during this year, the next — in 2024.
Sadyr Japarov noted that this batch of buses will solve the problem with the occupancy of vehicles in Bishkek. Buses, like the previous ones, have gas engines, which is an environmentally friendly transport.
The company’s management assured of its intention to further develop and strengthen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and guaranteed the high quality and service of the products.
Addressing the company’s management, the president drew attention to the fact that the Kyrgyz side attaches great importance to the safety, comfort, quality and environmental friendliness of the produced buses.
Sadyr Japarov toured the exhibition area of road construction machinery and equipment, industrial machines, got acquainted with the production process of new buses, talked with the management and specialists of the company.
The President noted that the Kyrgyz side is always glad to have a direct dialogue with representatives of advanced businesses who are interested in strengthening trade and investment cooperation. He stressed that Kyrgyzstan is interested in the implementation of joint investment projects of mutual interest.
