The International Monetary Fund (IMF) left unchanged its forecast for the economic growth in the Kyrgyz Republic in 2023. April review of the IMF says.
It is expected that the republic’s GDP will grow by 3.5 percent by the end of this year. The same expectations were in December 2022 following the results of the IMF mission to Kyrgyzstan. In 2024, growth will be 3.8 percent.
At the same time, inflation will remain high — 11.3 percent in 2023 and 7.8 percent in 2024. Forecasts have been revised upwards. In December, the IMF expected prices to rise by 10 and 6 percent, respectively.
