At least 19.5 kilograms of drugs were confiscated from a local resident in Tyup district. Press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
«Employees of the State Service on Drug Control received information that some man keeps drugs on an especially large scale at his home and intends to sell them. The information was confirmed. The suspect was identified as 52-year-old P.A. A criminal case was opened under article 282 of part 2 (Illegal manufacture of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their analogues for the purpose of sale) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic,» the statement says.
At least 7,816 grams of marijuana were confiscated from the suspect during arrest. Officers also found 11,750 grams of hashish during a search of his house in the basement. The person involved in the case was placed in the pre-trial detention center of Karakol.
The investigation is ongoing.
