First Islamic Investment Forum: Exhibition of halal products organized

An exhibition of halal products produced in Kyrgyzstan was organized in Bishkek as part of the first Islamic Investment Forum. Press service of the Islamic Business and Investment Corporation informed 24.kg news agency.

According to it, more than 20 large producers exhibited dried fruits, nuts, meat products, legumes, national drinks, felt products. Domestic tour operators told the guests about the tourism potential of Kyrgyzstan.

«Domestic products are confidently gaining positions in the world’s largest markets. Kyrgyzstan receives many requests from companies that are interested not only in import of our products, but also in creation of joint ventures. During the forum, proposals for cooperation were made, the details will be considered during bilateral and multilateral meetings scheduled for Tuesday,» the statement says.

Deputy Prime Minister Bakyt Torobaev also said that Kyrgyzstan planned to increase the number of instruments used by the Islamic banking system. He noted that this year it was planned to approve the Concept for Development of the Islamic Economic Platform in the country for 2023-2027.

The document will touch upon Islamic securities, Islamic insurance, as well as ensuring the access of halal products producers to Islamic investments and Islamic financing.
