Kyrgyzstan and Russia agree to hold Museum Forum in 2024

Kyrgyzstan and Russia agreed to hold a Museum Forum in 2024. It was announced at a meeting of the State Secretary — Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Alla Manilova and Deputy Minister of Culture, Information, Sports of the Kyrgyz Republic Ainura Askarova.

Interaction in the field of museum business was named among the priorities in the development of cultural cooperation between the two countries.

«Earlier, representatives of Kyrgyzstan expressed their desire to conclude cooperation agreements with the Hermitage, the State Historical Museum, and the Museum of the East. In response, Alla Manilova suggested holding a large-scale Museum Forum in the Kyrgyz Republic, where the common cultural, historical and spiritual heritage of the two countries would be presented. According to her, holding joint events will not only fill the cultural life of the two states with bright events, but will also contribute to the deepening of Russian-Kyrgyz cultural cooperation,» the statement says.

The parties also discussed holding the Days of Culture of Kyrgyzstan in the Russian Federation this year. In 2023, the Days of Russia will also be held in Kyrgyzstan.
