Russia hands over 40 new fire engines to Kyrgyzstan

Russia donated 40 new fire trucks to Kyrgyzstan. The ceremony of handing over the special equipment was held in Bishkek on Usubaliev Square with the participation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Japarov, the Minister of Emergency Situations Boobek Azhikeyev and the Minister of Civil Defence, Emergencies and Disaster Relief of the Russian Federation Alexander Kurenkov.

«On behalf of the country’s leadership, I thank you for your contribution to the development of Kyrgyz-Russian relations and strengthening the technical base and potential of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan,» said Akylbek Japarov.

«We understand that by helping friends and allies, we contribute to their protection. We transfer the special equipment into the hands of true professionals,» said Alexander Kurenkov.

KAMAZ 43118 fire trucks are produced at the Russian Vargishi plant. They hold 6 tons of water, 360 liters of foam and deliver 40 liters of water per second.

The fire engine is equipped with 18 water hoses of different diameters. There is a hydrant, the hydraulic elevator of which collects water from ditches, and the necessary tools for rescue work. The truck is equipped with three ladders of different lengths.

An agreement on the transfer of equipment on a gratuitous basis was previously reached at a bilateral meeting between the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov and the Russian President Vladimir Putin.
