At least 71,000 citizens are banned from leaving the country due to non-payment of fines, alimony and other debts. Kubat Cherikchiev, Deputy Director of the Judicial Department, announced at a meeting of the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan.
According to him, the amount of debt for 2022 is 12 billion soms.
It should be noted that MP Dastan Bekeshev recommends amending the Law «On the Status of Bailiffs and Enforcement Proceedings» and proposes amendments that would allow for the prompt removal of all restrictions. He stresses that the system needs to be automated.
