Germany waives Kyrgyzstan's debt of €14,900 million

Germany waived Kyrgyzstan’s debt in the amount of €14,900 million. MP Dastan Bekeshev posted on his Telegram channel.

According to him, there is one condition: the government of Germany asks to use this money for mortgage lending to low-income citizens of Kyrgyzstan within two years. «The Ministry of Finance of our country will give almost €5 million to the State Mortgage Company every eight months at least three times for mortgages, and it will receive part of the interest itself,» Dastan Bekeshev told.

According to him, mortgages will be issued to all citizens, except for residents of Bishkek and Osh.

The draft agreement will be considered at a meeting of the Committee on Budget and Finance today, he wrote.
