The leader of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a congratulatory message to the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. Press service of the head of state reported.
The message notes that Uzbekistan highly appreciates the relations of eternal friendship and good neighborliness between the Uzbek and Kyrgyz peoples, who have been united by a common language, religion and culture since ancient times. Over the past period, joint intergovernmental commissions, inter-parliamentary friendship groups and a Business Council have been created, close cooperation is being carried out with Kyrgyz partners in all spheres of state and public life.
«Dear Sadyr Nurgozhoevich! I am immensely glad and with all my heart I would like to congratulate you and the fraternal people of Kyrgyzstan on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. Together, we have taken our long-term partnership in priority areas to a new level. In particular, increase in mutual trade in recent years several times, which has exceeded the $1 billion mark, entry into the practical plane of our relations in the implementation of large joint projects in the fields of industrial cooperation, water management, energy and transport serve as a clear proof of our opinion,» Shavkat Mirziyoyev stressed.
He also recalled that the Council of heads of border regions was successfully functioning as a unique mechanism for fulfillment of the economic potential of border regions, strengthening ties of brotherhood, and expanding cultural and humanitarian exchanges between the two peoples. The start of work on the Kambarata HPP-1 project, which is of great importance on a regional scale, and the construction of the strategically important China — Kyrgyzstan — Uzbekistan railway also clearly demonstrate the close friendship between the states to the entire international community.
«The fruitful negotiations in the spirit of mutual trust and openness that took place during my visit to the unique Kyrgyz land in January of this year, as well as the historic agreements reached with you, will undoubtedly become a new page in Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations. In particular, bringing our relations to the level of a comprehensive strategic partnership and finally resolving the issues of state borders that have been waiting for their solution for many years are a clear reflection of our effective diplomatic relations,» the message says.
The President of Uzbekistan is confident that through good aspirations and common efforts, as well as through the exchange of visits at the highest and high levels, in the future the parties will be able to bring cooperation to an even higher level. Shavkat Mirziyoyev wished Sadyr Japarov good health, family happiness and great success in his responsible state activities, and peace, prosperity, constant progress to the multinational people of Kyrgyzstan.
