The number of employed Kyrgyzstanis with disabilities increased by 13.4 percent last year. The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration reported.
According to the head of the ministry Kudaibergen Bazarbaev, more than 300 citizens with disabilities were employed.
«In just a year, we attracted more than 15,000 unemployed and low-income citizens to public works. Over 10,000 people have completed vocational training in various courses, which helped them to find work,» he said.
Thanks to various active measures for employment, the level of official unemployment in the republic decreased by 0.1 percent and reached 2.9 percent.
«There is a decrease in the number of unemployed registered with employment services by 0.5 percent,» the ministry added.
