More than 37,000 citizens of Uzbekistan study at the universities of Kyrgyzstan. The Ministry of Education and Science reported.
The largest number of Uzbek students study at the Osh State University (12,280 people), the Osh Technological University named after M. Adyshev (10,136), the Kyrgyz-Uzbek University (6,229) and the Batken State University (3,326).
The ministry added that budget-funded places are annually allocated in higher educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan for ethnic Kyrgyz living on the territory of Uzbekistan.
«So, based on the results of entrance examinations, 25 ethnic Kyrgyz — citizens of Uzbekistan were recommended for admission to universities in the Kyrgyz Republic for the 2022-2023 academic year,» the ministry added.
