«I would like to inform you with satisfaction about the results of the bilateral talks, which traditionally took place in a friendly, warm atmosphere and in a trustful manner,» President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said after talks with the head of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
He noted that a wide range of political, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian issues were discussed in detail. Agreements were reached aimed at strengthening and further developing bilateral relations.
At the same time, the head of state stressed that the main emphasis in relations between the two countries would be placed on enhancing trade, economic and investment cooperation, interaction in the fields of industry, agriculture, energy, transport, and tourism. Sadyr Japarov noted the growth of trade.
«Business operates openly and freely. There are no barriers to mutual trade between our states. Direct business contacts between entrepreneurs and regions of our countries are encouraged at the government level. Investment and economic forums are regularly held. Joint investment projects are being implemented that are aimed at creating new production facilities and jobs,» he said.
Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan intend to jointly assemble cars, electrical equipment, meters, develop coal deposits, process leather and grow potatoes in Naryn region.
«We also exchanged views on regional and international topics. The development of friendly relations with the states of Central Asia, maintaining stability and security in the region is constantly in the focus of attention of both Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. We noted the need to consolidate our efforts in countering modern challenges and threats of a regional and international nature in the current difficult geopolitical situation in the world. In general, we reaffirmed our firm commitment to further strengthening the Kyrgyz-Uzbek multifaceted cooperation. We have a lot of pilot projects and plans that meet the interests of our peoples,» Sadyr Japarov concluded.
