At least 21 people renounced extremist ideology in Jalal-Abad region of Kyrgyzstan in 2022. The press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of the region reported.

«All persons, in respect of whom the protocol was drawn up, paid a fine. As a result, the budget received 7,176 million soms. One person was detained as part of the work to curb extremist activity. The police held more than 800 meetings with the population as part of the prevention of crimes related to extremism, terrorism, illegal border crossing and ethnic hatred,» the department noted.
