MP Aibek Matkerimov proposed to name one of the districts in Bishkek after Kurmanbek baatyr.
According to him, the townspeople themselves asked to voice such a request.
«The districts of the capital are being renamed. Citizens ask to name one of the districts after Kurmanbek baatyr. This is one of our prominent heroes, the legend about him comes after the Manas epic,» Aibek Matkerimov said.
Earlier, Speaker of the Parliament Nurlanbek Shakiev proposed at kurultai to rename four districts of the capital.
