GDP of Kyrgyzstan to grow by 4.8 percent at year-end 2022

The real sector of the economy of Kyrgyzstan in 2022 will show growth above the average. The National Bank of the country forecasts.

It is noted that at the year-end 2022 the real GDP growth will be about 4.8 percent, excluding Kumtor — about 4.3 percent. At the same time, production growth at the enterprise for the development of Kumtor mine is expected to exceed the output of 2021.

«Compared to the previous report, the estimates have been adjusted upwards. This is explained by the higher actual growth rates of the sectors of trade, services, net taxes on products in the third quarter compared to the expectations set in the previous quarter. In the sectoral context, economic growth in the current forecast is supported by the sectors of agriculture (due to livestock and crop production) and trade,» the National Bank notes.

In 2023, the growth rate of real GDP will be at about 3.6 percent, excluding enterprises for the development of Kumtor mine — about 3.3 percent.
