Kyrgyzstan will have no dilapidated schools, President assures

The problem of dilapidated schools will be completely resolved in three years. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov announced at the People’s Kurultai.

The head of state urged the participants not to touch upon the social problems of the regions. They were raised on Friday.

«We know where and how many schools and kindergartens need to be built. When I took office, schools in 247 villages were in an unusable condition. Their number has decreased to 200. We would like to build new social facilities in all these villages in one year. But the budget is not enough. Over the next two or three years, we will completely resolve the issues of schools. There will be no old buildings in any village,» Sadyr Japarov said.

He noted that the problem of kindergartens, houses of culture is also in the attention of the authorities.

According to the latest data, 245 schools in Kyrgyzstan were declared dilapidated, that is, every tenth school is in deplorable state. But children continue to learn there.
