Pakistan offered to build resort and recreation facilities in Issyk-Kul region

Pakistan was offered to build resort and recreation facilities in Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Pakistan, Ulanbek Totuyaev, spoke about this with the Director of the International Special Economic Zone of Pakistan Mr. Mohammad Tauseef Zaman. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

According to it, Ulanbek Totuyaev also discussed with the Pakistani side the prospects for increasing cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, educational and tourism sectors.

The diplomat noted the importance of implementation of joint projects and suggested building and modernizing resort and recreation complexes on the shores of Issyk-Kul lake, opening a call center and a logistics center for the development of mutual trade, as well as investing in the construction of hydropower facilities.

Earlier, an agreement was signed between Bishkek Free Economic Zone and the International Special Economic Zone of Pakistan on opening a representative office in Kyrgyzstan.

The Pakistani side, in turn, stated that they were ready to continue effective and mutually beneficial partnership with the Kyrgyz Republic in a number of areas of mutual interest.
