A 58-year-old resident of Suzak district was detained on suspicion of killing a 19-year-old girl. Press service of the Internal Affairs Department of Jalal-Abad region reports.
«The body of a 19-year-old girl with traces of violent death was found on November 8 in one of the rivers in Nooken district. A criminal case was opened on the fact of the murder. A group of the most experienced police officers was formed for an operational investigation. The 58-year-old resident of Suzak district, repeatedly convicted, including for rape, was detained on suspicion of committing the crime. He was last time prosecuted a year ago for possession of drugs,» the statement says.
«The detainee confessed to the crime. Traces of blood were found in his Toyota Corolla car on the back seat, under the front seat — a narcotic substance weighing 2-3 grams,» the police said.
The suspect was placed in a temporary detention facility on November 12. Examinations have been scheduled. The investigation is ongoing.
