The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev told 24.kg news agency that he would resign only if the entire nation asked for it.
He stated that he was in Germany «on a very big mission», and after the end of his working visit he would return to Kyrgyzstan.
«I will work even harder to make reforms in medicine faster, because I always said: there are unscrupulous people who want to hinder me. I am closing more than 300 clinics, this is already a response,» the official added.
According to Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, he intends to fire his deputies, if he is allowed to work.
«They are incompetent. I wanted to fire them before. How can a journalist (Deputy Minister Zhaparkul Tashiev. — Note of 24.kg news agency) work in healthcare? And how a sanitary doctor can oversee the medical business? I’ll fire them. How can I work with such traitors?» he commented, adding that only the people can prevent him from working.
I work, people see it. If all the people say that I cannot work, then I will leave.

Deputy Ministers of Health Uluk-Bek Bekturganov, Jalalidin Rakhmatullaev and Zhaparkul Tashiev addressed the President Sadyr Japarov and the head of the Cabinet Akylbek Japarov at a press conference. The medical workers asked to consider Alymkadyr Beishenaliev’s job suitability.
