Alymkadyr Beishenaliev promises to close 300 private clinics

The Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev promised to close 300 private clinics. He said this in an interview with a journalist Leyla Saralaeva.

According to him, an inspection of clinics is being conducted now.

«The inspection showed that only three or four private medical centers out of 100 have licenses. It turns out no one has checked them for 30 years. They worked without licenses, without anything, without certificates. For example, one case: eight abortion clinics were open in Osh market. Twenty abortions were performed in each of them daily. How many lives were ruined! Then many people spend years in treatment, suffering from infertility. Private dentist’s offices employ people without education. It shouldn’t be like that,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev.

The minister added that the department sends all information about the illegal medical activities of clinics to law enforcement agencies. «We have been sending it for a year, but not a single case has been closed yet. I don’t know why. When I started raising the issue, I was told: «Do your job, do not criticize the prosecutor’s office, judges,» Alymkadyr Beishenaliev added.
