Center for Veterinary Diagnostics and Veterinary Expertise received diagnostic kits and food safety test kits. The United Nations reported.
According to the organization, a total of 40 items of goods worth 22 million soms were handed over.
They are designed to carry out food safety tests.
Thanks to received reagents, veterinary service determines the presence of antibiotics, GMOs in raw products of animal origin and honey, and identifies the type of animal in sausage products by DNA.
Procured reagents can check meat for 23 antibiotics, milk — for four (tetracycline, chloramphenicol, streptomycin, B-lactams) and honey — for two (tetracycline, chloramphenicol).
Since the beginning of 2022, the Center for Veterinary Diagnostics has conducted more than 1,500 tests of 122 samples of veterinary raw materials using the received reagents.
