Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Bakyt Torobaev held a meeting with representatives of Masdar company from the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
He told about the country’s hydropower potential, stressing the priority of development of projects in the field of renewable energy sources and calling on the company to cooperate in the implementation of joint energy projects.
Representatives of Masdar, a world leader in renewable energy and sustainable urban development, expressed their readiness to cooperate in the implementation of projects on construction of a 200 megawatt solar station at the first stage.
Masdar was founded in 2006. It means «source» in Arabic.

Masdar, wholly owned by Abu Dhabi government investment firm Mubadala, supports the UAE’s transition to a knowledge-based economy.
